This is what a fried PSP looks like.

I’ve announced before that I would eat or try to eat anything that’s been dredged in batter and deep fried.  I’m American, eating deep fried crap is what we do.  I’ve even talked about opening my own restaurant in which everything on the menu would be dredged and fried, from drinks to dessert to vegetables.  Well, as it turns out, deep-frying won’t make everything edible.  For example, video games.  A Japanese man deep fried and tried to eat a Sony PlayStation Portable video game system.

For those interested, the good stuff in the video starts at about 2 minutes in.  That’s when the PSP gets tossed in the fryer.  At four minutes, the eating attempt begins.  Between the two is a lot of coughing and gagging since burning plastic isn’t the best smell on earth.

Fortunately for him, he wasn’t able to bite through the plastic, melty though it was.  However, he did eat some of the tempura batter, and he did ruin the PSP itself with his… I’m not sure why he’s doing this.  Is he angry about the next generation PSP?  Is he angrier about the PSP phone?  Is he just bored?  I have no idea why, but if you want to watch someone cook a portable video game, this is your chance.
