It’s been a rough year for the folks from Discovery’s hit reality show Deadliest Catch. Earlier in the year, one of the show’s stalwarts, Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie, suffered a stroke while offloading crab at St. Paul Island, Alaska. Now, the second death of the year has hit Deadliest Catch. Justin Harris, a 33-year-old engineer on the Time Bandit, was found dead in a hotel room in Homer, Alaska.
Harrison has spent the last two seasons aboard the Time Bandit, which chronicles the adventures of deep sea fishermen plying one of the world’s most dangerous occupations. Tennison was discovered at the Best Western Bidarka Inn, and police and paramedics were called into the hotel at noon on Tuesday when the body was discovered. His remains are being sent to Anchorage, Alaska, for more information. The 33-year-old left behind a son, a daughter, a sister, a father, and his grandparents.
“Justin was tough as a bull and was an all-around good hand,” the Time Bandit’s Captain Johnathan Hillstrand said. “The captains and crew appreciated his hard work and many contributions this past year.”
