It’s either a great prank or a horrible prank, depending on which side you’re on. If you really want to freak someone out, there’s no better way than using a dead animal carcass (with or without a clown suit). However, that’s also a thinly-veiled threat in the mob world, so there’s a risk. Two pranksters in Ebensburg, Pennsylvania, found that out the hard way. Two men left a severed cow’s head in a cardboard box on a friend’s front porch and now find themselves in legal hot water.
Ebensburg police chief Terry Wyland called the incident a “prank” before adding that, “it went way over the top.” He said the incident “caused the victims, especially the wife, stress.”
The two men will be cited over the incident, but will not face jail time. The two turned themselves in on Tuesday after the Saturday night prank. One of the two men is an experienced butcher of cattle, which is probably where the head came from. The two face citations for harassment and disorderly conduct, which is a whole lot better than terroristic threatening.
No word on whether the severed head was frozen or fresh.
