Just when you thought it was safe to go back on YouTube, she’s back. She’s Black and she’s back. Rebecca Black, that is. America’s favorite viral video star and the mad genius responsible for the frenzy around “Friday” is about to debut her second song, the aptly-titled “My Moment.” However, don’t expect an amateurish affair like “Friday” the second time around.
Oh no, Rebecca Black is back, and she’s bringing some seriously talented professionals along for the ride. My Moment was written by Brandon”Blue” Hamilton, who has written songs for Justin Bieber. The music was produced by Charlton Pettus, who has worked with Tears for Fears, Hilary Duff, and who composed the music for The Sims 3. The video’s director, Morgan Lawley, pieced the video together from a variety of Black’s appearances on the red carpet, on television, and in performances.
The single, which will be available from Rebecca Black Online next Monday (7/18) and from iTunes and the like on July 19, has been described by Black’s team as being like “a fairytale story, but it happened in real life.” So, basically, it’s Black’s autobiography. The video will debut on Black’s YouTube channel.
