Frank Miller's Holy Terror is finally going to be released.
Frank Miller is a comic book legend. He’s one of the best comic writers in history, doing some incredible work both with iconic characters like Batman and characters of his own creation, such as the bad boys and beautiful dames of the Sin City world. Well, in the aftermath of September 11’s terrorist attacks, Frank Miller got inspired. He wanted to do an old-fashioned propaganda book, akin to Captain America punching out Hitler or Superman fighting Nazis. Frank Miller wanted Batman to fight terrorism; now, 11 years after the fact, Frank Miller’s Holy Terror is finally coming out thanks to Legendary Comics. There’s a motion-comic trailer, and you can even read the first five pages of Holy Terror.

Originally, the book was written to be a Batman book, but over the course of 11 years, the book changed, Frank Miller changed, and I have no doubt that DC got cold feet about having Batman fight terrorists. That’s moved Miller to change his tale. Rather than Holy Terror being another Batman book, it’s actually a new superhero from Miller who has been dubbed The Fixer. Look for him to fix the problem of terrorism with killing and guns on September 14.
You can pre-order a hardcover of Holy Terror via Amazon, or check your local comic book store for more information. If you’re in San Diego for Comic-Con, Legendary and Miller will be doing a panel on Holy Terror.
