Get retro with NBA 2K12 from 2K Sports.

Pistol Pete.  Wilt the Stilt.  The Logo.  His Airness.  Dr. J.  These are more than just men, and more than just nicknames.  These are some of the most legendary basketball players of all time, and they are more than deserving of the moniker NBA legends.  These men are all members of the basketball hall of fame and the NBA’s 50 Greatest Players list, and with good reason.  Now, the legends are getting to be in video games.  NBA 2K12 is adding 15 legendary players, and all their legendary teammates, to the latest in the long line of 2K Sports basketball video games.

Since it looks like there will be no NBA this year, why not turn to the league’s past?  Not only is 2K Sports adding legendary players, they’re also giving the legends appropriate uniforms for their time period (right down to Patrick Ewing’s kneepads and Bill Russell’s canvas sneakers), appropriate looks for their games (black and white, grainy footage), and even era-appropriate rules (be sure to get your fill of clotheslines and hard fouls while playing as the Bad Boy Pistons).
