Rob Hull owns the world's largest collection of Daleks; he will be the first to be exterminated.
Consider your old almanac out of date. Guinness has released the Guinness Book Of World Records for 2012, and it’s the most interesting, expansive edition yet. For example, the company has added a whole slate of interesting new records and categories, some of which make sense, and some of which are very confusing. The Telegraph has pulled together a list of their ten weirdest records, but they definitely have missed the boat on some of these.
Some of the weird world records you already know, like Smokey the cat’s 92 dB purring and Harbor the hound’s two feet worth of floppy ears. Others (the world’s longest fingernails) are just horrifying and gross. There are also obvious ones, like Hugh Laurie being the most-watched man on television.
Then, you have some weird feats that the Telegraph didn’t consider weird enough to make their top ten list, like the world’s largest Dalek collection (that doesn’t include real-life Daleks). How that guy’s Dr. Who madness didn’t make the weird top ten is beyond me. That’s a pretty weird obsession, even for someone from Britain who undoubtedly grew up watching Dr. Who and who now has money to burn.
