Of the many movies to come out this year, the Hollywood version of Stieg Larsson’s international best-selling novel The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is the one most people are looking forward to. Starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara (as Lisbeth Salander), the big-budget adaptation of the novel is already making waves thanks to Lisbeth’s wardrobe. Now, for the right price, you can get into Lisbeth Salander’s pants. And her jackets. And even her earrings! H&M is launching a “Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” clothing line in association with Versace and Trish Summerville, who did the costume design on the movie.
“Salander’s look is very real and very lived in, with pieces that her character has worn for a long time,” said Summerville of the collection, which is just the latest in a long line of movie-inspired fashions. “My goal is for women to find pieces in it they love and then mix with their own wardrobe to create their own personal style.”
The 30-piece collection of clothing and accessories ranges from leather jackets and earrings to boots and jeans, and was designed by Summerville in the wake of her costume design for the movie itself. H&M will be launching the fashion line on December 14, a week before the movie itself debuts on December 21. I guess that’s so superfans can get their Lisbeth Salander cosplay in motion before the movie, in case they want to go to the movie in costume.
