For some people clowns are the creepiest thing in the world. For others dolls can cause hysteria. The fear of dolls is known as pediophobia.
For those doll-fearing folks, a house in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia would create nightmares worthy of lasting a lifetime.
It seems Anatoly Moskvin has been arrested for pulling corpses from graves. The Russian man is known in academic circles as a “cemetery expert.” Little did they know he was delving deeper into the topic than anyone could expect. It wasn’t enough for Moskvin to desecrate the graves by stealing the bodies from them, he then took the corpses and dressed them up like dolls and kept them in his house and garage. The 29 morbid giant “dolls” were dressed in clothes from graves and had cloth and masks over their decomposing faces, but these weren’t Burka Barbies though.
Unlike the lonely 91-year-old woman who lived with her dead sister and husband, Moskvin’s motive for living with the dead is unknown.
Maybe he was trying to recreate an ex-girlfriend like the man who spent $18,000 to have his own sex doll made from old photos of his former paramour.
