Lady Gaga will make her big-screen debut in 2013.

Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen are an outrageous pair, to be sure, but they’re going to have a little competition.  In the upcoming sequel to the Robert Rodriguez Mexploitation flick Machete, dubbed Machete Kills (because that’s an awesome name), one of the many women in Machete’s life will be none other than the most outrageous singer out there, Lady Gaga.  Lady Gaga will play the role of La Chemeleon in Machete Kills.

I don’t know anything about La Chemeleon, but she’s holding a silenced pistol and wearing a wolf as a scarf, so it seems like it’s a character right down Gaga’s alley.  In the film, the remorseless killing machine known as Machete takes a job for the President of the United States (Sheen) to stop a terrorist who has space-based weapons.  Machete Kills is directed by Robert Rodriguez from a script written by Kyle Ward.  The movie will be receiving a nationwide release in 2013.
