Little known POTUS fact: Obama LOVES Keyboard Cat videos.
What would you do if you could ask the sitting President of the United States–or any former POTUS, for that matter–absolutely anything you wanted? Well, for about 30 minutes, Obama gave himself over to the wolves of Reddit. That’s right, Reddit, the place where Rickrolls became a thing and where you find celebrities pimping movies and television appearances. Obama did a Reddit AMA, taking questions from the masses of Redditors after a campaign appearance. And yes, as you can see above, it was really him.
Here’s the full text of Obama’s question and answers with the front page of the Internet, collected from the AMA.
Really, it’s just a standard media appearance, except everyone could shout their questions at him and he could pick which ones he wanted to answer, kind of like how they prescreen speakers at media appearances and town halls and the like. The questions were pretty good, all things considered, and Obama answered the right amount of fun ones to the serious ones without spending too much time on Reddit or (presumably) getting exposed to any horrible pictures/memes in the process.
