When it comes to bathroom fixtures, the less things I have to touch the happier I am. When I go into a public bathroom and there’s a hands-free toilet, hands-free soap dispenser, hands-free sink, and hands-free dryer, I’m a very happy fellow. Well, Dyson is contributing to the drive to eliminate all manual bathroom fixtures with what is one of the coolest, most ingenious bathroom taps I’ve ever seen. Dubbed the Dyson Airblade Tap, it’s a hands-free faucet and hand-dryer in one.
Right in the middle is the tap, where your hands will bring the water needed to clean off your hands. When it’s time to dry, you simply move your hands towards the two horns on either side of the water faucet and the Dyson Airblade hand-dryers will kick on. Thus, you go from washing your hands to drying your hands without any paper towels, any obnoxiously loud dryers, and without splattering water all over the floor on a walk to the paper towels like some sort of animal. I’m generally not a fan of all-in-one devices, but this is one I can get behind.
The Dyson Airblade Tap will retail in the UK for 999 pounds, or about $1500 US. The actual US price has not been announced.
