There were a lot of big stories coming out of the 2012 London Olympics. From the empty seats to the Iranian zionist conspiracy, there were a lot of interesting tales, but nothing was more interesting than the tale of the Blade Runner. South African sprinter Oscar Pistorius is a double amputee who won Paralympic gold and was the first Paralympian to make the Olympic games as a member of the South African team. He impressed the world and gained massive amounts of respect for his bravery and game competitive spirit, but now that’s all gone. Paralympian and Olympian Oscar Pistorius has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend.
“Yes there are witnesses and there have also been interviews this morning. We are talking about neighbors and people that heard things that happened earlier in the evening and when the shooting took place.” said police spokesman Brigadier Denise Beukes. “It would be very premature and very irresponsible of me to say what actually has happened. There have been allegations. We are not sure.”
The girlfriend in question, Reeva Steenkamp, was a 30-year-old model who lived with Pistorius in a gated community outside Pretoria, South Africa. She was shot four times; a 9mm pistol was recovered from the property. Police haven’t officially said Pistorius is charged with murder, but the nature of the charges won’t be revealed until the court date, and it’s pretty obvious what he’s been arrested for.
