Have you ever asked yourself, “If there are so many millionaires out there, why not me?” Me too. Sure, I’m not a 65-year-old leader in the industry world, but this list of the Top 20 Internet millionaires under 30 proves my point.
Turns out you don’t have to be an actor or music artist to strike it big. The Internet is basically the diamond in the rough for new ideas, and these young businesspeople took advantage of it.
Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook.com is at the top of the list with $700 million. As a Harvard college student, he founded the social networking site from his own dorm room. And he’s only 23!
Another booming Internet entrepreneur is Chad Hurly, creator of Youtube.com with $85 million dollars. He is 30-years-old, and is the founder of one of (if not the biggest) provider of videos on the Internet. He not only created this site, but also designed the current logo of the e-commerce business, PayPal.
Ever searched for interesting art to put as your desktop background? For me, DeviantArt was always an excellent site. With $75M, Angelo Sotira is number 5 on the list with his website that allows artists-alike to share their talent. Born in Greece in 1981, he also was a CEO of a portal for an MP3 music company he later sold.
Other great names on the list include Kevin Rose, founder of Digg.com with 31M, and Ryan Block of Engadget with 20M.
