Those wacky Germans apparently have cracked the case of who the actual muse for Leonardo DaVinci’s Mona Lisa.
For centuries, it has been speculate that Lisa Gherardini who was the wife of a Florentine merchant was the somber beauty behind the painting.
Alas, German academics say “Nope!” Actually they didn’t say that, but I was just breaking it down for you. Due to small, discreet notes made in a notebook, the answer is Lisa del Giocondo.
There has been a great deal of interpretation and speculation of who the elusive Lisa actually was has been a mystery for nearly half a century.
And there are clues, according to the experts, such as the Mona Lisa is also known as “La Gioconda” meaning the happy or joyful woman in Italian.
Case solved?
