Here’s one graphic designer’s exhibit of pictures taken from ten of his favorite photographers that inspired him to take up the hobby himself. These 30 images are really fascinating, ranging from subtle messages to make-believe portrayals by children (pictured to the right). It’s enough to make me want my own digital SLR camera!
The photographers that he picked are Cosmin Bumbut, Leigh Perry, Stefan Rohner, Jan von Holleben, Lina Scheynius, Antony Chambers, Aneta Kowalczyk, Michael Kenna, Rodney Smith, and Todd Hido. I’ve linked to each of their respective galleries so you can check out more of their inspiring works. If you’ve ever needed an excuse (or muse) to pick up photography, these professionals can provide you with some inspiration to get the ball rolling.
Like the author says, this stuff is also great for driving graphic designs — which is why he started in the first place. Having a solid skill base is important, I just wish my Polariod was still in working order.
