You know, people complain about education in America sometimes … and maybe all the criticisms aren’t unfounded. But when people see how other less-fortunate areas of the world teach their children, it becomes easy to appreciate any shortcomings our current systems may have. For example, just try and learning your ABC’s in a cave. It’s called a Dongzhong and kids in the Guizhou province of China have to learn to deal with it (pun not intended). This natural cave is exactly how they get their education. The images shown really paint an interesting picture. Makeshift chalkboards scrawled on walls are not uncommon. From Afghanistan to Bangkok, there are hundreds of places like this all over the world. To get a better understanding (and perhaps appreciation), check out the other images here.
