The Wired Blog has posted a tribute to the great writer Arthur C. Clarke as he has recently passed away within the last day or so. He was a legend — having penned 2001: A Space Odyssey and received dozens of awards for his contributions to various fields, his name won’t be forgotten. Given the chance to have 3 wishes fulfilled, he would want proof of extra terrestrial life, freedom from dependence on oil, and an end to the civil war in Sri Lanka.
Clarke lived to the ripe old age of 90. Below is a video of his last message to Earth which was uploaded at the end of last year. In it he conveys that much of his last days were spent reflecting on times gone, and the future yet to come for the rest of us. We have a lot to learn from a visionary like Arthur!
