I’ll be honest; I’m not sure what to even say about this incredible gallery of images. The ingenuity of the human animal is an amazing, astounding, and absolutely crazy thing sometimes, and nothing is much crazier than some of the stuff people have done to solve problems they have on the cheap. I’ve done this kind of stuff quite a bit in my time, and while I was a bit more subtle about some of it, I wasn’t always completely subtle.

For instance, in college while moving, I drove my car through town with a mattress on the roof and someone leaning out the window to hold the mattress down. I’ve also driven that very same car across the sidewalks at college while moving, which was a lot of fun. That very same car survived two wrecks, neither of which was repaired with anything costing more than a few dollars. Plastic panels, garbage bags, duct tape, bolts, and a 2×4 can fix just about anything if you either know what you’re doing or have absolutely no shame in driving around in a junker.
