Thomas Beatie, the famous pregnant man you read about first at Pop Fi, is definitely not a hoax. On June 29, Beatie and his partner (girlfriend, wife? I’m not sure how it works when it comes to pregnant men and their lady friends) welcomed a 9.5lb baby girl, Susan Juliette, into the world. Congratulations to Thomas, Nancy, and their family! Congratulations especially go out to Thomas, who endured a 40+ hour delivery and spent the first 24 hours of labor at home. You may have been born a woman, but enduring that amount of pain for your child makes you a man’s man in my eyes.
