Mohammed Belo is a man who loves women.  The Muslim preacher, despite being 84 years old, has managed to marry not once, not twice, but 86 times.  How he has time for them all (or remembers all their names at his age) I’ll never know, but he still wants more.  Unfortunately for Mohammed, local officials are getting mighty steamed about his unusual family life and have ordered him to make with the divorces.

Under Sharia, the Islamic code of religious law, a man can only have four wives.  Obviously, you’d think a Muslim preacher would know and follow religious law, but I guess Mohammed has a bit of a rebellious streak in him.  Even in the face of death threats and potential banishment, he’s in no big hurry to part with the mothers of his 170 children.  Probably because then he’d have 82 mothers-in-law nagging him.

I’d imagine with 170 kids, he knows how to handle his annoying kids.
