Coolbuzz posted a brilliant image today of Rhett Dashwood’s Google Maps alphabet. That is, he found landmarks and natural formations and put them together in order to craft an A-Z map of the world, so to speak. Now this is just awesome!
I see a lot of people try to decipher the hidden letters or shapes in otherwise random images, but usually it’s a lot of squinting and conjecture. You might see a giant letter S in the clouds, but I probably won’t. That’s just how I am. I prefer to spend my time staring at more concrete natural phenomenon.
I can only imagine how many hours (or days) Dashwood spent looking through Google Maps to find just one of these images, let alone 26 of them. That’s more patience than I would have had. Then again, I probably never would have thought up this project.
