The internet is abuzz about the newest strange creature sighting. In the Israeli beach town of Kiryat Yam, local residents have been clamoring loudly about the discovery of one of the oldest legends of the sea, a mermaid! Not only is the town taking it seriously as a tourist attraction, they’re following the lead of Inverness, Scotland (home of Nessie) and putting up a $1 million dollar bounty for whoever gets evidence of the mermaid’s existence!
One of the things I’d love to organize is a world tour for cryptozoology buffs like myself. A trip to Loch Ness, a trip to Nepal to search for Yetis, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest for Bigfoot, Israel for the mermaid, that sort of thing. Have monster, will travel would be the motto!
Obviously I would have to organize it a little better, and find a lot more cryptids to search for in cooler locations, and that kind of thing. However, I think this would be an awesome idea for a book/travelogue. Maybe I’m the only one who’d love an international monster hunters tour, but I kind of doubt it. Throw in some haunted houses and whatnot, and I think you’ve got the kind of enterprise that’ll bring in those tourist dollars!
