Everyone has been to Wal-Mart at some point in their life. I don’t care how rich you might be, or how much you might claim to loathe the store, we’ve all had to go into Wal-Mart and we’ve all seen something crazy. From life-long legacy mullets to people slapping the children of strangers, there’s always something interesting at Sam Walton’s megastore and it’s not usually the low prices (though those are awesome, too). That’s why three 20-somethings were inspired to create People of Walmart, the web’s official new viral sensation.
A lot of people think the site’s image galleries are picking on the poor, but there’s a huge difference between being poor and being horribly dressed or having a crazy hairstyle. I know I’ve pointed out spectacular mullets in my time, or people dressed in horribly inappropriate clothing; I know you have too. All brothers Andrew and Adam Kipple and friend Luke Wherry have done is taken a legitimate sociological phenomenon and captured it on the Internet for everyone to see.
