Ashley Wolfe, AKA Glambo, is the hottest thing to hit Great Britain’s fighting since Ricky Hatton left Manchester for America. She’s not some kind of mixed martial artist, but the 5’3 blonde from Abbotsfort, British Columbia, Canada has gotten a lot of attention thanks to her ability to crack open heads. You see, her husband Bill Wolfe is a martial arts instructor that teaches a system called Defendo to military and police for self-defense purposes. Unfortunately for a member of the UK’s elite Coldstream Guards, he also taught his wife. That’s why, during a fight at a drunken party in Budapest, Hungary, Glambo knocked out Lance-Sgt. Michael Fallows, shoved down Sgt. Damien Holland, and fought off Holland’s wife Joan.
Fighting is no way to solve your disagreements. This goes double if you’re a soldier, rigorously trained in self-defense, and you get beaten up by a girl. Witnesses disagree on who threw the first punch, with Ashley saying she was hit first by Joan and responded in kind, and others saying Ashley struck first when confronted. The whole situation then spiralled out of control.
The fact that several soldiers jumped Bill Wolfe, and bit the end of his nose off, suggests that Ashley should’ve beaten the crap out of all of them for jumping someone who just tried to make peace and that the soldiers got what was coming to them. Actually, they probably got off light, considering Defendo teaches you to break legs, smash groins, and gouge eyes. Things could have been much worse for all involved.
