A Saudi man is regretting leaving his phone at home today.  No, he didn’t miss an important call and he didn’t forget one of the important numbers he had stored in the phone.   His problem is his wife.  She got snoopy and explored his phone’s contact list.  She didn’t uncover some sort of illicit affair, but she did uncover the nickname he has for her:  Guantanamo.  Now, thanks to her unflattering nickname, she’s seeking a divorce.

It seems like a silly thing to throw away a 17-year marriage over, but if you’re so upset with your relationship that your pet name for your wife is the same as an infamous military prison camp, I doubt you’re terribly happy with married life anyway.  His choices appear to be divorce and find a new wife or a hefty cash payment and infinite detainment at his own personal Gitmo.  Something tells me, unless Saudi divorces are as bad for men as American ones, he’d be better off closing the base and finding a new wife.
