Dating within the office is usually a really bad idea. For every good incident, there are about a million bad incidents, and ESPN baseball analyst and former New York Mets GM Steve Phillips is finding that out the hard way. His brief affair with 22-year-old Brooke Hundley, an ESPN production assistant, has turned into a whole big, messy “Fatal Attraction” thing. Hundley is accused of leaving threatening letters at Phillips’ home, posing as a classmate to befriend Phillips’ 16-year-old son, harassing Phillips’ 40-year-old wife Marni, and generally being every man’s worst nightmare when it comes to psycho ex-girlfriends.
Not only is Phillips filing police statements over this stalker situation, he’s also getting divorced from his wife and getting a 1-week suspension from his gig as ESPN analyst during the heart of the baseball playoffs. Talk about a triple-whammy!
