Today is the launch date of the latest Microsoft operating system, Microsoft 7. To celebrate, MS is undertaking a lot of inventive marketing campaigns. If you thought the first Microsoft stores in the US and Windows 7 launch parties were crazy, just look at some of the things Windows is doing internationally. They’re giving free copies away to the residents of Dutch village Zevenhuizen (“Seven Houses”), repainting the Spanish town of Sietes (“Seven”) in Windows colors, and they’ve partnered with Burger King in Japan for a ¥777 yen, 7-patty Whopper!
Just looking at it makes my left arm go numb. Talk about your belly-busting burgers! I could eat that thing for a week, and given one burger costs about $8.50 US, it’d be a cheap string of meals. It’s only going to be available for 7 days, though. So if you want to declare war on your arteries, you’d better do it soon!
