The job of your average haunted house worker is to scare the crap out of everyone that comes across their path. The most fun, of course, is getting to be the guy with the chainsaw. Mike Morrison plays Leatherface at the House of Screams in Baltimore, and as their guy with the chainsaw, he’s often the last guy able to get a serious scare out of the patrons. The tables got turned on him when a Baltimore police officer, Eric Janik, pulled a gun on him in return.
Fortunately for Morrison, the incident ended without injury, as security for the haunted house had been following the apparently-drunk Sgt. Janik (and the group he was with, including his young daughter) through the building. He’s been suspended with pay until Tuesday, where a hearing should determine just how long he stays suspended with or without pay. The fact that he’s not in handcuffs right now is pretty amazing, because he threatened an innocent man with a gun. Those chainsaws never have chains in them!
Hopefully, he gets some jail time, because if I’m drunk and waving a gun around a haunted house, I’m going to jail for a long time. He didn’t even identify himself as a cop until after the incident was over, so this is a guy in dire need of a firing. Obviously he’s got a problem with alcohol and doesn’t need to be carrying around a weapon, especially around a 9-year-old girl.
