Juan Carlos Roldan and five of his friends were out one beautiful night in their town of Clodomira, Santiago del Estero in Argentina. They were singing and dancing, having a good time, when suddenly it struck. Well, it didn’t strike so much as it came crab-running towards them. They captured the infamous petido orejudo, or “small being,” that has become one of South America’s most famous cryptid creatures, and Argentina’s most famous non-pterodactyl cryptid. The creepy gnome is back, and creepier than ever! There’s even a video of it.
You know what it reminds me of? That little guy in the image above. That’s one of the Tall Man’s midget monk cronies/henchmen from the Phantasm movie series by brilliant director Don Coscarelli. I love those movies, and I love those disturbing little killer zombie monks even more. Just watching that creepy little thing scamper around in that video above gives me the shivers!
