The Register says they have assembled the world’s best gallery of the world’s filthiest computers.  That might not be hyperbole, as I don’t think I’ve ever seen a computer infested with spiders or with dead mice inside.  These images are truly impressive examples of how not to keep a computer in good working order.  Also, some of them are slightly stomach-turning, so be warned.

The average computer has lots of free time where it just sits around, unused.   Like anything, if you leave a computer sitting long enough, it’s going to gather dust and, every so often, you should get inside its case and, you know, DUST IT.  Just use a low-powered vacuum or air duster and knock out all the crud that’s gathered up over the month; just be careful not to damage any of the small working parts or to fry the motherboard with a burst of static electricity.
