Throughout history, there’s been one constant.  People are going to do whatever they can to make themselves more beautiful.  Whether it’s a tattoo of an Internet superstar like Tay Zonday, a tooth tattoo, an eyeball coloration, or even an amputation disguise, there’s no shortage of ideas on what people can do to the body to customize their appearance.  Web Urbanist has a great discussion of some of the weirder body mods out there, along with awesome (and awesomely gross) images to accompany each way to pimp your person.

I’m something of an oddity in my generation.  I don’t have any tattoos or piercings, and I never have.  I probably never will, either.  I have some scars, but they’re the kind I earned, not the kind I just got put on me so I can look cool.   Considering that everyone I know has some kind of body modification except for me, I feel like I’m the unusual one, rather than the chick with all the tattoos or the guy with a nose ring.
