Everyone wants to eat healthier these days. With all the weird chemical preservatives and colors in our food, it’s no wonder people are looking for any way they can to eat a more natural, balanced diet. Shockingly, some people who aren’t me don’t want caffeine pumped into their food, even if there is the possibility that food additives will make them look younger. But what about the pets? Apparently, the raw food revolution is going to the dogs (and cats) with sushi for pets.
Out in the hipper parts of the country, dogs and cats are being trotted out to places like S.A.D. Dog Sushi and Pussy & Pooch’s Pawbar for California rolls and other pet-friendly sushi designed to be healthier for animals than traditional pet foods. Given the amount of unnatural grains and general nasty garbage that goes into store-bought pet munches, I can’t really blame anyone for wanting to find Rover and Mittens a better way to eat. If I wouldn’t eat it, I shouldn’t force my cat to eat it, either.
