Sometimes, it pays to think outside the box. However, that’s not the truth when it comes to food. After all, for every good idea when it comes to food, there are some ideas that are laughably bad. Here’s 10 of the worst ideas in food.
The one idea on that list I think you can’t call a bad one is Pepsi AM. Certainly it wasn’t successful on launch, but the idea of an extra-caffeinated Pepsi is one that’s still around today in the form of Pepsi Max. The only thing that let Pepsi AM down was its marketing. The idea is a good one; that’s why people are adding caffeine to everything these days and calling it an energy product.
From a simple design standpoint, I like the look of the Pepsi AM can. It’s very sunny and appealing. I can see why the soda for breakfast marketing didn’t catch on, but I maintain that the product is a sound one, and it’s one I definitely would have enjoyed had I known it existed back before I discovered coffee.
