There’s an unusual new exhibit in a Warsaw, Poland zoo. However, it’s only going to be on display until Sunday, so if you want your kids to see this rare creature, you’d better hurry. The prehistoric beast on display? Why, it’s the humble Homo sapiens, or human being. That’s right, there’s a zoo with a caveman exhibit, starring two people in caveman costumes.
The organizer of the event, Maria Mastalerz, has scheduled the exhibit to bring attention to a new play, Caveman, opening in Warsaw. It’s no relation to the illustrated 3-D map of the human body known as CAVEman. While some people use their performance art to point out the plight of the environment or to decry urban development, some people just use it for self-promotion. I guess this is a case of the latter, though I do have to admit that it’s a pretty interesting way to promote a new play.
Think there’ll be any cross promotion between Caveman and other plays? Like, are the cavemen waiting for Godot, perhaps?
