Nick Tennant is nothing if not an excellent businessman. Not only has he already started one business, a car valet company that went under as the economy tanked, he’s also a 24-year-old college dean. The college he started is the Med Grow Cannabis College, where students pay $485 dollars to learn how to cultivate and cook with legal pot as per the 2008 Michigan Medical Marijuana Act.
Of course, the medical marijuana law is very strict. Patients can only cultivate 12 plants, while caregivers can grow up to 60 plants to care for up to 5 patients. There are also quite a few legal background checks that potential cultivators have to pass, to keep things nice and legal. That said, marijuana is still illegal federally, hence the school’s focus on more than just preparation and cultivation.
