There’s not much scarier in the animal world then a swarm of insects.  I mean, just imagine a whole cloud of angry bees, all stinging at you and pursuing you long after you should’ve escaped.  Whether you call them swarms, hordes, or just packs, there’s not much more shiver-inducing than a clump of critters all ominously gathering for something bad.  Treehugger’s got 10 swarms to make you squirm, and I have to say, I’ve got the shivers now.

I’ll have to admit, I’m kind of petrified of insects.  I can deal with the normal thing, but give me a skittering mass of spiders or a hovering hornet to handle and I’m struggling to contain my crawling skin.  Just thinking about it has my hackles raised.  And, if at night, I have a nightmare about a spider being on me, touching my skin?  I’m not going back to sleep.
