We all make mistakes. From the Smithsonian to the sign maker, everyone screws up now and again. I’ve done it here at PopFi numbers of times, on a variety of different stories. Most of them are generally typos, as I’m very careful about getting names right when I write posts here. However, I’m not infallible, and neither is your local newspaper. The results of the mistakes can be quite funny, as you’ll see by checking out the best media errors of 2009.
My friends know I hate it when I make errors, but I hate more to leave them uncorrected, so if they see a typo or a grammatical error, they are sure to let me know, even though they know I’m going to be irritated by it. Call it a quirk if you must. I just can’t leave an error in place if I can correct it, and I doubt I’m the only one.
