It was an ordinary evening at the High Brooms Working Men’s Club in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. There were about 100 men in the bar, drinking and having a good time when two guys at the bar had a disagreement over the last bag of delicious dry-roasted peanuts. That’s when they stopped being polite, and started being real. And by “real,” I mean “really violent.” The two men started fighting. Then it spread. Before long there’s a riot in the street over peanuts.
Dozens of cops were needed to subdue the 50 brawling men, and lots of folks were sprayed in the face with teargas in an attempt to quell the riot. Seven people in total were arrested; hopefully that includes the two that started the riot. You know, guys; sharing is caring. I learned that back in preschool! Next time, split the packet of peanuts and spare your comrades the street fight.
