Officials in Amsterdam were horrified on Wednesday by the discovery of 20,000 roses in their shipment of cocaine recently… wait, what?  Oh, sorry.  Officials in Amsterdam were horrified to discover 20 pounds of cocaine hidden in a shipment of 20,000 roses from Bogota, Colombia, on Wednesday.  Is that better?   The Netherlands is the world’s largest distributor of flowers, with a staggering 60 percent of the world’s flower exports.  No word on how much cocaine they distribute, but they’re known for their lax drug laws, so it might be more than you’d imagine.

Wow, talk about your Valentine’s Day surprises!  Maybe this is why that elementary school banned Valentine’s Day cards; the kids were using them to smuggle vials of crack rock around!  (Note:  That’s not why.)  Three people were arrested in the drug bust, and nearly $1.8 million dollars worth of drugs were seized by police, ruining countless Valentine’s Day cocaine binges.
