It had to happen one of these days.  Barbie, after 125 different jobs, has finally settled into her 126th new career.  This time, thanks to a vote from the public, she’s become a computer software engineer.  Software Engineer Barbie made her debut at the 2010 Toy Fair, and she’s garnering a lot of attention from the tech community for her super-tiny netbook and dual monitor setup.  The good 401K must’ve won her over!

This isn’t Barbie’s first unusual outfit; as a teen fashion model she’s worn many different outfits, but this is her first foray into technical fields.  I like how she’s wearing glasses; that’s what shows she’s smart!  Still, the personal touches of her desk (like the picture of Ken and all the Post-It notes) show that she’s been on the job for awhile.  All she’s missing is the IV drip of Red Bull and/or coffee to complete the look of a proper IT person.
