Hungry? Well, might I suggest a delicious short stack of three pancakes from the International House of Pancakes? That’s right, today is National Pancake Day, brought to you by IHOP. It’s all part of their fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network, but you don’t have to donate to get your free flapjacks. You just have to go to your local IHOP, sit down, and ask for some free pancakes. Between 7 AM and 10 PM today, you can get your short stack of deliciousness.
Originally, National Pancake Day was celebrated on Shrove Tuesday, AKA Mardi Gras, but in order to maximize fundraising time, IHOP pushed the date back until today, February 23, 2010. Since 2006, IHOP has raised $1.3 million dollars for charity, and they have a goal of $5 million by 2010. Here’s hoping they meet their goal, so maybe we get a free pancake weekend out of the deal!
