Mothers needing a little break from their kids got a rude surprise recently. Thanks to what the company calls a glitch, Time Warner Cable in North Carolina accidentally switched some educational programming for that of a pornographic nature. Instead of Kids On Demand and Preschool On Demand videos, they showed content from The Playboy Channel. For two hours, people trying to get a little Sesame Street or Spongebob instead got images and videos of scantily-clad, dirty-talking women.
Boy, I bet whoever made that error in programming feels like a real boob.
The cable company has apologized for the unexpected lesson in sex education, via a statement released to the media and featured prominently on several Girls Gone Wild programs. I have to ask: do you think people trying to watch porn On Demand instead got a face full of The Muppets? Granted, there are saucy puppet shows, but those are generally only in legitimate theater productions and not on educational TV.
