Everyone wants faster high speed Internet. Once Topeka, Kansas, changed its name for the day to Google, Kansas, the flood gates opened and now everybody is racing to be as weird and interesting as possible in an attempt to lure Google to their town. The resulting flood of freaky, odd, funny, and just plain dumb videos has resulted in a phenomenon called the Google Fiber WTF Film Festival.
That’s right, free stuff once again prompts a race to the bottom for Americans who should probably know better than to prostrate themselves before the all-knowing, all-giving Googletron. If you don’t believe me, just watch this and tell me you don’t want to claw your own eyeballs out or tattoo them permanently black. There’s just something about the faces of the dogs, frozen in fear at their predicament, badly edited to goofy music and a static backdrop that just fills me with existential dread.
