It’s a good news/bad news situation for air travelers stranded in Europe. The good news is air travel is starting to resume in areas affected by the ash cloud. The bad news is the Eyjafjallajokull volcano is also set to resume erupting in a big way within the next few days. Just when air travel restrictions might be getting lifted, nature once again reminds us it is in charge. Hopefully more countries will take Britain’s lead and provide travelers with alternate routes home.
Strangely enough, the air travel problems in Europe have also affected me on a personal level. I use a nasal spray for my allergies. However, when I called my pharmacy to renew my prescription, I was told by the tech on the phone that my particular nasal spray is unavailble, and that they haven’t gotten any supplies of it sent in for nearly a week. That would put it back to the time when the volcano first knocked out air travel in Europe. Could those two things be related?
