Aaron Jamison is dying. Not in the sense that we’re all dying, in the sense that he has somewhere between 3 and 9 months to live, based on how successful his current chemotheraphy treatments are. He was initially diagnosed with colon cancer, only to discover too late that it had spread to his liver and lymph nodes. He accepts that. However, the writer and comedian is currently busy making the last months of his life productive ones, as he tries to sell ad space on his two funerary urns.
Jamison hopes to raise $800 to cover the cost of his cremation, so his wife Kristin won’t have to cover the bill after he is gone. He’s already gotten one sale for $100 to Springfield, Oregon, friend and businessman Dustin Remington. Jamison’s wife says that, at first, she objected to the sales idea, but has since agreed to it. Aaron is planning on spending his final months living out the motto emblazoned on his purple wristband: “Cancer Sucks… Life is Good…Choose Joy.”
