It’s often noted in older couples that once one dies, the other dies shortly after.  While Brittany Murphy and her husband Simon Monjack were far from an older couple, Monjack didn’t outlive his wife very long.  Monjack was found dead on Sunday in the home he shared with Murphy in Hollywood, California.  His cause of death is unknown.

Murphy passed in December; Monjack, a British screen writer, passed away only five months later.  Now, presumably, they’re together again.  You have to wonder if his death at age 39 was due to grief, drugs, suicide, or perhaps, just a heart attack.  There’s no telling, at least not yet.  It could have been any number of things.

I really hope it wasn’t drug-related or something like suicide.  That’s just an awful, awful way to go.  Not that there’s a good way to die.  Here’s hoping that wherever he is, he’s at peace.
