One of the weirder things about birthdays is that when you find another person who shares that date of birth, there’s always an instant connection. I’m not sure why that is, but the few people I’ve met who have shared my day of birth have always been people I’ve liked. I’ve never met another August 8 birthdate person who I didn’t like, and I’m not related to any of them. However, there’s a family who, for three generations, have celebrated June 1 birthdays. Paula Ballanger was born on June 1. Her daughter, Roxie Koep, was born in June 1. Her granddaughter, Rachel Koep, was also born in June 1. Three generations, one birthdate.
The odds of this happening are 1 in 133,255. Even when you take into consideration that June is the busiest month for births, that’s still craziness. Well, at least we know there’s no way they can forget to buy gifts for one another and organize the party. I’d imagine they get a discount for booking one clown for three peoples’ birthday parties.
