French president Nicolas Sarkozy is short, and like most short men, he’s got a serious ego problem. For one thing, he wears specially-designed shoes with lifts and is routinely caught standing on his tip-toes when appearing with other world leaders, attempting to disguise the fact that he’s only 5’5. (As you can see, he’s probably as tall or slightly shorter than former First Lady Laura Bush, who is only 5’4) He also rarely stands next to his former model/giantess wife Carla Brunei, who is roughly 6 inches taller than he is even in flats. Now, he’s extending his crazy Napoleon complex to his bodyguards, refusing to hire tall men to protect him.
That’s right, he’s discriminating against tall men. Ordinarily, a short man makes a bad body guard, because he can’t see over a crowd. You’d want a tall bodyguard, tall and wide, so you could hide behind him if something bad happened. Don’t tell that to Sarkozy, who has decided that his vanity outweighs his safety.
