There’s just something about fast food places that makes people really angry. Maybe because they’re hungry. Maybe they’re just craving some fries. Maybe it’s because the service is always terrible and they struggle to get orders right. Actually, it’s mostly the last two things about services and mistakes that seem to set people off. Slow lines at KFC? Time to fight. If they run out of McNuggets, someone’s getting a McBeating. If someone messes up your Wendy’s order? Oh, it’s definitely time to riot.
That’s what happened at a Wendy’s in Kalamazoo, Michigan. When four customers claimed their order was incorrect, they punctuated their complaints by throwing food at the staff. The staff responded by hurling food right back at them. Once the food fighting was over, the real fighting began: two people left the car, went into the restaurant, and started fighting with the staff. All this over a cup of chili and a Biggie-sized order of fries (or whatever).
Don’t get me wrong, Wendy’s is great. Dave Thomas is my hero. But the food isn’t good enough to hospitalize someone over.
